My First Bead Soup Blog Party

Cu toate astea, mi-am propus ca intr-o zi sa ii acord mai mult atentie, sa ma joc cu el, sa-i descopar frumusetea si posibilitatile infinite de a  fi pus in valoare... Si artisti precum Alison nu fac decat sa adauge greutate acestui task de pe lunga mea lista de "to do, to try, to learn"! Asadra, multumesc!

I haven't posted here for quite a qhile...shame on me! I've been involved in so many things lately that I have barely had time for myself! I hope I'll manage to organise myself better, to get things in order and to discover more efficient ways to make everything I have to do!
And I will have to come up with something to take more care of the blog! There are many works I haven't posted here, bu I will soon! This autumn, after the suffocating heat arround here passes, I will reorganise things and I will catch things up!
Until then, let me tell you about a bead party I am attending! I'm talking about Bead Soup Party organised by Lori Anderson on her blog!
I thought it is a very interesting Party so I signed up!
Techincally, she match us, artisans arround the Globe, in pairs that trade furnitures and at a certain date we reveal what we have created using that materials!
What I can say si that my partner, Alison, makes amazingally beautiful polimer clay beads! And, lucky me, I have in my possesion some wonderfull beads created by her, the pendant being creatied specially for me: and it's adorable!
Since I first saw what I get from alison, I told myself: I definitely must make something for myself to wear them! And I did it! because I am crazy about the shapes and colours, and the palette it perfectly suits me!

And you know what is so curious about it?! I'm not such a big fan of polymer clay! I mean, don't get me wrong, i have nothing bad with it, but it's just it never attracted me in a very special way (only seeing it on others' blogs, which I loved and I admit, it's ART in there, my dears!) and as you probably already noticed, I didn't used it in my work! Altough, i must admit, I did buy myself some polymer creations and I liked them and even wear them :P
Anyway, I propose to myself one day to give it more attention, to play with it, to discover its beauty and the infinite posibilities to make the most of it! And artist as Alison only add height to this task in my long long list of "to do, to try, to learn"!
So tahnk you, it might have been a sign that I should explore more ;)

Here is what I did get:
- polimer clay focal and beads, made by Alison
- hand forged copper clasp, also made by Alison
- Vintage lucite beads
- small pearls
- hand dyed ribbon
- hollow copper beads
I really love the little bag in which they were kept, it's really adorable!

And here is what I came up with: 2 necklaces in which I have used all the furnitures Alison sent me, next to some glass beads, czech dagger drops, fluorite beads, copper decorative beads and pendants, some gem little rings, quartz beads, aventurine beads and leather cord, all connected using copper wire and accesories.

The necklaces can be worn together, they look very good together, having the same color palette!
The leather necklace can also be worn as a bracelet, wrapped 3 times arround the wrist!

What do you think?
Don't forget to check what Alison did with some of the beads I've sent her, here!

Love,

Andra
